IoT CloudPets damned in security audit: Public shaming gets results


Mozilla takes on an auditory role by releasing information about the risks of IoT toys, CloudPets sold at stores including Amazon, Target and Walmart. Ashley Boyd has taken to exposing industry players who threaten the privacy and security of the internet, and expose consumers to privacy risk. Many companies do not have the security measure in place to protect personal customer data, and that the absence of regulation or oversight clearly admonishes them from accountability or consequences.
